are you asking what a reco unit is worth???? depends if you get one reco like already own a box and send it out.

or buy one of the shelf

i think it would vary from difference places from how much recondition needs to be done etc different labour rates from different firms

to have a stab in the dark i would dare say about 1k for a decent recod box with a basic warranty

If its for a V8, it would be worth a little more than a 6 cyl one.
They seem to be a bit stronger.
But there's also more demand for the 6 cyl boxes, and heaps of people are needing them.

i am pretty sure this is a six but i was told all you have to do is change the bell housing to be able to use it in a v8

Yeah i'm pretty sure thats all you need to do too. BUt the V8 boxes themselves are a little stronger.

yes i think you are right but the six box is more than capable of puting behind a 302 or 351 as long as they are not monster 5 or 6 hundred horse power monter's

yeah it seems every 2nd manual gearbox for a ford or holden has been recently "recod"...

to me a box like that is worth $50-$100....its got unknown history, hasnt been tested. I would sell it "as is" and get what i can
