G'day everyone.
I'm new to this forum. I don't own a Ford as such but I have a Bolwell Nagari which runs Ford bits. ie 302 Clevo, top loader,XY XW front stubs, discs etc, modified xy xw diff.

I'm thinking of fitting a T5 to get the overdrive 5th. Can anyone tell me where to find info relating to T5's as fitted to the aus built Falcons. There is lots of info on the net re T5's but most of what I have found relates to US market cars.
I have tried a search in this forum but at the moment the search function doesn't appear to be working for me.

I'm trying to get info re ratios, ID numbers, and if possible extension housing lengths.
Not interested in fitting a Tremec TKO or 3550 as space in the Nagari chassis is really tight and the Tremec is a bit bigger at the extension housing. I actually have a 3550 in the shed at the moment which was fitted to another Nagari that I have. This car was severly damaged in a crash and is the next project. When the gear box was fitted (not by me) the whole engine and gearbox was moved about 60mm forward in the chassis. I'm not sure if this was done because of clearance in the chassis problems or just to get the shifter in the right place. ( who ever installed it was pretty rough in their work)
Anyway I would really appreciate any info any one can point me to.

thanks in advance

1st = 3.25
2nd = 1.99
3rd= 1.29
4th = 1.00
5th = 0.72
rev = 3.15
the length of the extention housing is 375mm from the end of the gearbox.
from the bellhousing its 775mm
and the length from the bell housing to the centre of the shifter in neural is 710mm.
hope this helps.

Thanks and yes it does help. What model Falcon are these for? also is it a 6 or V8? Do you know if the T5 fitted to the falcons are the same length for all the models they were fitted to?
thanks

Yeah there pretty much all the same except the later models had a lower first gear (like 2.98 or something) put in them so they rev for longer in first. there is only minor changes internally between v8 and six, this is the six cylinder specs but all the dimentions are the same on the outside except of course the bolt pattern for the eight is differant.
