As long as its an EB2 tailshaft (91DA part number sticker on the shaft) it wont be a problem.

Hmmmm, sticker says: 90DA - 4602 - EB.

It's a wagon BTW. and the EB tailshaft is supposed to be a wagon one too.

More comments please :D :D

Wagon and sedan driveshafts are different lenghts. Why do you want to change the shaft anyways with one thats 5 yrs older? The part numbers change with car models, mainly the last letters. The BA use alloy in the wagons. The part number is 3R23-4602-EA or EB. Not sure if the lengths are the same from the top of my head. Let me know what the part number is of your original shaft and ill look it up for you.

Joolz, I am having a lot of trouble with vibrations, and what i want to do is get a suitable tailshaft balanced with new u joints etc., while I am still driving the car, and simply swap over the shafts.

Unfortunately I can't tell you what the numbers are on my current shaft, as it is parked 200kms away at the moment. From what I can remember, the g'box yolk on the EL (current) shaft looks different to the one off tjhe EB. I think the damper is thicker, and it also seems that the spline OD is different (?)

I also know that one of the uni caps is a bit loose in the bore, as I could push it in by hand!!

I know the wagon shafts are different, as I said, both shafts are for a wagon.
