hi

Sorry guys for posting in this section but all the other section where not appropriate either so im taking a chance in this section

Ford FPV adopts VIN Microdot IC across the whole range
well oddly enough i need something checked and do u think i can find someone close by or even for that matter in victoria to read a microdot of one of my car rims.

Long story short i believee i have not been given back my original rim from a ford dealership back of my FPV-gtp .

So after asking around the motor trade industry and Ford dealerships who just go " HA ' over the telephone and say "what are u talking about ?" I decided to call FPV direct .

Again i was treated badly with the first person that handle my explanation why i needed the rim checked out. Then someone come on the seen and understood the situation " I THINK HE DID " , i was finally given a telephone number of a business that could do the service of reading and giving me a report on my GT rim.

When i spoke to the guy of this company he didn't want to get involved and just gave me the run around .

I then called FPV again and was given 4 four other telephone numbers and out of those numbers one crowd said yes they can do the reading of the microdots . You sitting down $185-oo plus GST

WOOOOOO i asked why so expensive couldn't get a answer out of the guy

So my question is , does anyome know of any other companies that can read microdots security at a reasonable price ?? what is there telephone number ?

any help would be appreciated

cheers

Then they put me onto a guy who sells to the public .

I ended up calling him this morning and he just rang me back.

The kit to read the datadot system is about $60 delivered to my door step.

He also sells kits to data dot parts and house hold goods .

I will receive my kit in the next few working days and info u guys how i go.

the guys website is http://www.datadothb.com.au/ if anyone else needs more info.

why have a security system if it costs you so much just to have it looked over?
that makes it pointless in some ways.

will be worth it if it reveals that his suspicion about his rim is correct and it has been swapped.
