Hi all,

Cheers!

It is an LSD unless the bloke went to the trouble of changing the label and the metal tag?

A metal tag carrying the words ’HIGH PERFORMANCE USE APPROVED LUBRICANT ONLY’ is attached under the filler plug for LSD.

I thought 'High Performance' in fords eyes meant 4 pinion.

Slip Resistant / LSD meant limited slip.

I'd lean towards a single pegger!

its an open centre diff for sure. as it says 3.45 : 1 ratio.
below that it says STD for standard.
it would say LSD if it was such.
metal tag on filler plug is ezily put there. probly a fuk up from a mechanic that changed the diff oil and put it there.
tag doesnt lie.

they will both spin no matter wat. lol.

i think what you ment to say is if they both spin in the same direction its a LSD. if they oppose then its a open centre diff.

It IS an LSD, the text I added in Bold is from the FORD workshop manual.

A metal tag carrying the words ’HIGH PERFORMANCE USE APPROVED LUBRICANT ONLY’ is attached under the filler plug for LSD.

Had my head under my car yesterday. The housing in my T has LSD on the sticker where that one says STD.

hard to believe they would bother with different stickers if they meant nothing.

I vote for it being an open diff, esp when Xr6's came out with open centres as standard. Not too many seemed to get that option ticked from what I have seen!
