i doubt it will fit

even diff to diff as the wheelbase will be different along with the wheel offset

well the centers are the transferale as far as i know the axels have diffrent splines so my thoughts so far are to change center axels and spigot gear the offset is on the rims so i cant see that being an issue ?

the problem will also be that xf has a 75 series (2 pinion?)centre which uses 25 spline axles.
au has a 78 series (4 pinion)centre which uses 28 spline axles..
if you can swap the hemisphere over to the 28 spline type you could use ed/ef/el axles in the xf housing..
but the xf has 2.77 or 2.92 ratio.
compared to the au,s 3.08,3.27 ratio
afaik the 78 series ring gear wont bolt onto the 75 series centre .

but aslong as the distance between the leaf spring is the same the xf housing could be bolted in but the xf series and e series diffs are shorter than au...
also the xf uses a different type of diff yolk/flange.
so the au tailshaft wont bolt up unless you swap the yolk/flange plate over.
to me it sounds like more trouble than its worth..

yes thanks for the informative info troyman i know the diff splins are diferent 28 to 25 is there a axel with 25 spline long enough and to relocate the diff center would meen it need to have pinion and flange to match not being diff expert i still wonder if i could use the 2 diff centers to rebuild the lsd to take the 28 spline drive to suit the au axels ?

firstly building a diff isnt realy that hard im not a computer expert either but I still build computers as long as you got the corect preloads and other relivent info.

Hence the whole idear of sharing info !

It seems there is no garantee that the xf diff is a 25 spline as they also used 28 spline in xf diffs dose any one know any way to tell the axel spline whithout taking the axels out ?
