i have a 3speed auto sitting in my EA.....which is being wrecked...should i keep it and muck around with it to see whats inside so i can slowly learn? or should i just leave it all together. Phongus, attack it as the 4 speed is a much better option. Contact Brett 4777 about autos-he does them every day for work.

I drive an EL now and have a wrecked EA and just want to pull it apart to see how it works...especially the engine and the tranny....though i can't undo some of the bolts in the engine with my tools....im either weak or the bolts are damn tight for sitting there the last 5 months.

hmmm might ask brett to give me some info or anything spring loaded in that thing...god i had spring loaded mechanical things...never seem to find the parts the fly out.

precisely, if you fish around you'll get one with about 100000 on it. chuck it in and flush the fluid you'll go alright i reckon.

rebuild to stock and those prices are a bit rich. in Sydeny you can get a reco box for $1100 to $1300, plenty of Taxi's round here thats why..

BUT

Go the T5 conversion.. it will price up ½ way between your current quote and the Sydney prices,

That fitted tho dude or just supplied ?

thats fitted.. Taxis drive the market on auto boxes in sydney.. taxis can throw a box in the morning and by miday they have passengeres again.. they build em stronger with better clutches and slightly larger coolers as well..

This is for a full reco 4 speed 6cyl BTR Slush box

A dead auto is your invitation to a 5 speed conversion..

If your not shifting, Your not driving..
