I know u said auto but there are options for the manual and it would be cheaper than starting again with an auto??

u got a VCT or HP AU....i think the boxes are slightly different

when u blew the first box up did u replace it with an earlier E series box??

what T5 box were u using? and how much hp u cranking through it...

the best factory box would be the BA xr6t T5 which i think has the ford racing Z spec internals...

then theres the T5-6, but dont know if theyre any stronger and also my be longer requiring more mods costing$$

VCT and HP had the same boxes, but all the rest is correct. Z spec box still has a weak housing that is prone to flex, so even with its stronger gear set I wouldn't recommend it. I would go a t56 as it is by far your cheapest option for reliability even with conversion costs.

Apart from this you are looking at either a C4 or a ZF. ZF conversion will probably cost the same as a rebuilt c4 and you get 6 gears, but a built c4 will be tough as. Would you really want a c4 in a BA though?

T56 for sure!
If your keen on getting an auto for the sake of having an auto then I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction.
