What causes uneven brake wear?

I got uneven wear on rear pads on my NL. RHR heaps of pad wear and LHR minimal.

gummed up lines, slide bolts not lubed up, warped rotors, also driving habits can wear the brakes uneven.

your caliper slides are sticking causing the pads to rub against the rotors whilst your not on the brakes. this is an easy fix.

you'll need the following:

- a rag
- cheap can of brake cleaner
- a tube of RUBBER GREASE (do not use any other type of grease as the rubber seals will swell)
- a 1/2" open ended spanner

undo the two caliper bolts pull the slides out spray a bit of brake cleaner on the rag and wipe the slides clean

spread a small ammount of RUBBER GREASE on the slides and work the grease into the caliper cradle

then put it all together. do the same for both sides. easy as should only take to a half hou tops :D
