hi all

part way through a manual conversion on my EL and I realise i've never taken a close look at a manual falcon before. what's the route the factory takes for them? are there any brackets or anything that hold it in certain places?

thanks

I just run it down the drives side of the engine bay, behind the steering shaft thing, along the steering rack (I think between sway bar and sump...can't remember) and then connect it to the clutch fork.

Just make sure that you keep the cable away from the exhaust manifold...if you have extractors, the heat wil melt the outside bit of the cable.

I don't know the factory route, though it seems as though there is a mounting point for it, cause mine came with a small mounting bracket.

phong =P~

thats pretty much what i've done. might cable tie it there for now.

the cable has a small bracket on it that looks like its supposed to hold it somewhere and also i have another right angle bracket that looks like its designed to hold the clutch cable. anyone else know the factory route?

Lightly cable tie the cable to the steering rack - That bracket holds the cable straight for it's entry into the bellhousing front.
