Hey Guy's ..... An urgent call for help here ....

I need to remove & replace the pedal box on my EF as the clutch pedal pin has failed (as they do).

I'm in the middle of removing the whole dash assembly to get to the upper bolts of the pedal box but I've hit a snag.

All bolts are undone but I cant seem to move the dash forward more than an inch or so .... from what I've read I should be able to move it forward or remove it completely at this stage .... but it just wont move any more.

I'm hesitant to try with more force as I don't want to break anything.
Is there a trick to manouvering it forward? does it need to be lifted up first before moving forward?
I have tried lifting it before moving forward but it doesn't really want to lift much and again I don't want to force it for fear of breaking something.

I've seen comments from other members saying that its not too difficult to do .... but this is proving quite difficult :(

Any help with specifics of how else to try and remove it would be greatly appreciated .... I'm tearing my hair out here .... the little that I have left!

It's been a long while, but going off memory, this pic shows where the various bolts are. And you've gotta drop the steering column as well.

You're a legend Chris!

I've missed the two bolts in the centre, they were hidden under the carpet

And there's the three bolts that hold that bastard pedal box!!

Those two bolts in the centre are missed from the FORDMODS tech doco too. (Unless someone has updated it by now...)
