Its always best to reset leaf springs as opposed to lowereing blocks and its not a bad idea to add an extra leaf. However its alot easier to buy the springs already lowered, Kings do a lowered leaf spring.

As far as i know its illegal to compress coil springs. For a new set of front coil springs they will set you back around $120-$140. As for the leaf springs im not sure on the price.

Its legal to reset leaf springs. What you can do is put in the lowered coils in on the front then after they settle have the rear springs set to suit.

Sorry, but compressed springs will never be as good as replacement springs that were actually made for that height.
Reason is that the proper low springs are made specifically for that height and as such the damper rates are adjusted, coils are added or reduced as required, and generally an extra leaf is added in the leaf springs.

Yes, getting the leaf springs reset is definately better than blocks, but doing it properly is still going to be the best. However, replacement leaf sprngs arn't cheap.

But depends on what your doing it for - just for rice looks and it might not make a big difference to you.

Definately worth adding an extra leaf if you decide to have your current leafs reset. Alternatively worht considering a product like Iron Man Load Plus.

Check out Ambers EF wagon.

Im pretty sure she has Lows in it. You can go superlows but depends on what you will be putting in the rear and how much you like being pulled up by the cops (With you still on P's). I would go lows and have an extra leaf put in the rear so you can load it up and it wont drag on its a$$

this is my old wagon with superlows in front and 2" lowering blocks in the rear.

due to it being a xr6 wagon it already had a 5 leaf rear end as opposed to the std 4 leaf.

i had it like that for over 60000km with zero problems.

couple more pics in my gallery
