Anyone know what this T5 would have originally been in??

Well it was made in 91 ends in EA, my guess a series 2 EA.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. It has a V8 crossmember on it - I wonder if the V8 boxes are any different (stronger internals) to I6??

longer input shaft, and different ratio's.

I've determined it's not out of a V8 - it's just got the V8 exhaust support plate on it for some reason.

Box is out of a EB not a EA2
the 91 stands for when the intial unit was produced not when the acctual part was produced.ie if the box was made in 1993 without any upgrades since 1991 the part number would still start with 1991. 87DA = EA 91da = EB 94da = EF 96da = EL then they made it harder wr2a = AU series 1 1R23 = AU series 2 2r23 = AU series 3 3r23 = BA but Yr23 = AU2 ute i hope this makes sense |
