IMO Cant go past an Xtreme clutch. I cant make mine slip, the clutch is no heavier than stock, and they look pretty. Ive also seen them hold down over 400rwkw on the dyno.

website for them - http://www.xtremeclutch.com.au/

These are the ones Hightek is selling...look pretty decent, waiting to hear back from Cam on a price for one and a lightened fly.

I too will vouch for the Xtreme clutches, they are great.

Glad i found this thread guys! Was just at the drags tonigt. Took off foot flat, lets just say it was hitting redline in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in about 40m :( Got back and had the worst fibre smell ever *cries*. Didn't run it for the rest of the night. On the way home i gave it some s**t and i couldn't get it to slip at all. But it's shuddering a lot more when i take off now. So Xtreme clutches look like the way to go then? I'm after something that can take a beating but isn't going to kill my leg just to use it either.

that's pretty much what i'm after.
i don't mind a slightly heavier than stock clutch, just as long as i don't break the seat when i go to shift.

Anyone got prices on these assortment of clutches ?
I think my PBR at the time was about $220-250 for the clutch kit. The rpm one was about $500 odd from memory

Got a few quotes today, for an Exedy clutch you're looking at around $400 for a heavy duty one, and eXtreme around $500.

See here dude:

Also have a look around the site, is a great site. So what's your old clutch up to anyway, is it slipping, shuddering etc?

the extreme heavy duty was a quote from coventries, $518 but said he could do it for $490. $400 for an exedy heavy duty was from "Auto brake service" in Ossy park. ph. 9444 9911. The guy there was really helpful, he spent like 10 minutes on the phone to me just explaining hwat kind of clutches would be best for what i wanted. He seemed to think exedy are the way to go, extreme are still good but a little more expensive.

xtreme heavy duty with organic plate should be around the $350 mark, and the ceramic around $550

I got a PBR RPM race series thing in mine, absolute s**t I reckon. Waste of cash. Prefer the Exeedy or Hard Core clutch anyday!! Slips likle a C*** and feel like a sponge.

Kit put thru, new cable, machined flywheel, the works. Will be swapped very very shortly.

i first noticed it was stuffed when i put it in 3rd down at willowbank, and it slipped down to it's rpm (if that makes sense).
it is starting to shudder more than usual now too.

G'day

Mines clutch in my xf had been shuddering on take off for about 6months now. On thursday morning within 30km on the way to work it went from shuddering on take off (not slipping at all) to completely slipping and not being able to move the car  .

I paid 200 for my PBR rpm heavy duty clutch kit 2 weeks ago. I'll let you know in a few days what i think.

After removing the cactus one 2day i found that it was all ready an rpm heavy duty, i love this clutch. Its either in or out, easy to operate and is fairly light. I hope the new one is the same.

Cheers
