Just need to know what this part is? It is off the side of the gearbox and i accidently snapped it.

its the inhibiter switch stops you from selecting reverse while driving foward

Inhibitor switch. Bet you cant select all gears with that off.

Just went and checked and i cant even start my car without it on there. So do i just go and buy another one and put it on? and is there any easy way to get them out and put them back on?

lol.... suprised you got it off in one bit! When i replaced mine (didn't start in park and reverse lights didnt work) and i was pulling it off, it just shattered into a million pieces. When i eventually got it all off, from memory it just slid back in and hooked the wires up and your laughing!

Nah i didn't get it off in one bit the pic is just the two biggest peices put together, the rest of it is still stuck in there

Would my local Ford dealer be the best place to get one from? If not then where and how much do they roughly cost?
