Could someone give advise on what size and type of stall convertor to suit my ZH Marquis with 351 clevo slightly worked with FMX that has stage 2 Transgo shift kit and inch with 2.75 gears. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.[/i][/b]

Mate, what cam do you have, any converter with 2,75 gears is going to be pretty useless, and only cook tranny fluid, and a C4 will sap less power to run, and is lighter.

Give us some more specs on the car, but realistically a stock converter with your gears will be best.

Mate I have a speedpro CS-1100R , valve lift : inlet .535 , exhaust .562.
80 overlap. Duration 224 inlet and 234 exhaust @ .050"

Thanks for the reply mate, great site. At the moment I am putting together a new 351 with that cam,crow double row timing gear,crow anti pump up lifters, crow retainers and collets on crow performance springs,weiand exellerator manifold with holley street avenger,msd distributer with msd blaster 3 coil and 6AL ignition,HM 32 ceramic coated headers,Edelbrock Victor Jnr water pump.

with that cam, you want at least 3.23 gears in the diff, possibly even 3.5's. Converter wise, something around 2500-3000rpm will work well, moreso with the single plane manifold.

A dyno graph given to your tranny/converter shop woldn't go astray either as we all know converters aint converters, just like oils aint oils.

mate even if u took your cam specs into the auto shop or converter shop they should b able to tell u what size stally u need.

i'm thinking of changing my TC also. its for a AUXR8 with the BTR97LE trans. with lock-up

my cam specs are CompCams XE 270HR Dur@.050 IN 218 EX 224 Lobe Sep 114. fitted with GT40X heads with porting.

what TC stall would be recommended, and what is the best product out there - dominator, Allfast, QCES.
