Few shops are still closed, but rang a couple.

Got quoted $1100 drive in drive out, and $780 if I supply the a***.
Another place was like $800+ with me supplying the gear set, or $1150 with it included.

Both places include new bearings, and shims for the LSD.

I currently have an EA II 2.92:1 LSD. I was thinking at least a 3.45 ratio with my LSD.

Anyone in ACT done this, and know where a good place is?

I got mine done by Southern Diffs (in Phillip). Craig there is a Ford fan, and really knows his stuff.

Yeah I know Craig, he did some work on my previous EA. Wasn't too happy.

Rang him then tho, and he's $200 more than the other joints.

Dunno what to do, expensive no matter where you go.

Wow - Craig's still at Southern Diffs? - Ive had him do work on 9in and Std Diffs for me, about 19 years ago (!?)

I thought they were really good for a long time, but at one point they seemed to start backing down the support. Not sure what they're like now.

Ah, good to see some more Canberrans on here! I'm sort of interested in the same thing. Still not sure on how likely I am to go ahead with it. It is only my daily EA.

Bloody oath it's good to see some ACT members posting lol!

Well I've been getting some quotes.. and it's pretty exy. Mine's a daily too, but I kno it would really hammer with a 3.45 in it. It goes very well now; ie: you can feel decent torque, but the gears feel a little too long..

Should get the ACT boys together oneday.

Should ask if you can get a discount by bringing in some forum members for work!

Probably won't work. No one does things cheap for the old E-series.

Quick question! How much did the BOGE's set you back and did you do it yourself or get somewhere to do it for you? Handle well?

I got the coils for about $47 each from GSA in Brisbane, as well as the shocks. About $140 rear, and $220 front? can't remember, was a discounted price.

They're 60mm shorter than the standard shock, and perfect for Super Low's (like mine) or lower.

Never hit the bump stops, have full travel thanks to a shortened shock, and I love the ride they provide.

Got Martin at Bridgestone, d**k to do it. He's the only mech in ACT I trust.

How'd you get the discounted price? I'm just after something firm to get rid of that lowered-on-stock-shocks bounce, plus I think my shocks are worn, making it worse.

I got some front coils and KYB shocks for another car of mine, and initially got them through a mate's old man's business in QLD at trade price.

Just ring around local and GSA in QLD too. Ask for Jamie, and just ask "what's the best you can do for X".
