Hi guys,

are the 5sps from XD-EF workable in EA-Ed series? I know the starters are the same, but what about the rest.. would it work, would I need different tailshaft etc?

i had a mate with an XF box in his EL. so i'd say yes

but anyone else can feel free to correct me

Theres 2 types of XF 5 speeds.

Standard Borg Warner and the T5.

Bell housings are obviously different also.

Ok, next question.. do either of those fit?

which is better, how to tell them apart.. what about clutch and stuff, will the flywheel bolt straight on?

The " Light Duty " 5sp XF box is crap and they are small.
The BW T5 in the XF is exactly the same as the EA T5 box.

Doesn't matter anymore..

Just sourced a ED XR6 gearbox/clutch/pedals for bugger all.
