i know this might be a silly question but will a T5 out of a 88 XF fit in a 94 ED? i know i still need more to convert it tho.

eaton M112 supercharger, lowered a tad, extractors, 2.5" exhaust, T5 , custom SureCam supercharger cam, 3.45 lokka, 2 piece tailshaft, poyair bags in the back, TSS front Skirt, Sprint skirts, XR wagon spoiler.
soon to get: AU diff, upc 330mm brakes, Vapor LPG injection.

Probably will fit, but dont. The XF T5's werent anywhere near as strong as the EBII and onwards.

a mate of mine has a 370,000km old pre-EBII T5 in his EF and its still going strong, he gives it absolute hell too.

Sure. My point (Missed) was that the Post EB II Box in an ED is nice.

The XF ones arent in the same generation. They often struggled behind the 4.1

That was all.

i wouldnt mind knowing if i can use XF/EB pedal box in my EL. some say i cant, but i might be converting my car to manual this week, so itd be good if i could use it instead of finding an EL one.

There were 2 different 5sp boxes in an XF. A light duty and a heavy duty ( T5 BorgWarner ).
The T5 was also used in the EA & EB.

The diff ratio used was usually 2.92 ( EA ) and in the XF, 2.77.

im running a series 1 ea t5 with p/n 87daxxxxx so i assume its late xf/early ea in my ed.. and has been behind 2 au motors and has had a hard time..
im now running over 170rwkw and its still fine considering the box has over 400,000kms on it..
