Has anyone got any information regarding putting an e-series p/s rack into an XF?

I found this,

http://www.xfalcon.com/forum/showthread ... conversion

Do you know if there is anyone there that has done the conversion to a rack? Seems not.

Yeah, it's called an XH!

Sorry, too easy. Anything is possible, but that doesnt make it easy. A power steer box works well in an XF, piece of piss to fit it all up, and easy to maintain. No rego/insurance hassles either. More room for a V8 than a rack anyway, the XH - style steering column to rack arm is in a prick of a place.
Stay with the box, you'll be plenty happy with the results. :D

The idea was put to me by someone else that has an XF ute and a fair amount of experience modding. I have a spare p/s rack, pump, harmonic balancer if need be, etc, he could buy.

Thanks for the info. I still wouldn't mind getting further info, no harm in it.
