HI PEPS
need some help
im fitting an eb motor to my xg ute ,motor is in all lined up even bolt holes but auto from xg will not mate up gap is no more than 2cm
is there any differents between the xg and eb auto boxes ??

have you got the torque converter lined up properly? [seated in front pump properly]

no difference, they are the same gear box.
when fitting the gearbox are you leaving the torque converter in the box or are you trying to fit the box with torque converter bolted to the engine??

also is / or was the eb engine auto or manual? as if it was a manual you have to remove the spigot bearing from the crank..

They r both autos so that bit sorted
I left the torque converter bolted to the motor

then it's as per moi 1st answer - converter must be lined up properly with the front pump in gearbox. priick of a job with these fords coz of the solid flex plate [linning up converter bolt holes], i cheated & paid someone else to fit the box :mrgreen:
