Recently brought an XG ute with a standard single spinner diff.
I am happy with the ratio (lots of freeway kms) but am after an LSD.
Is it possible to fit an e-series LSD in my ute or would it be easier to source a leaf sprung x series LSD and swap the whole axle, disk to disk?
Costs and locations would also be handy. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the XG XR's come out with an LSD??? If not the XH XR's definately did. They should bolt straight in. Don't know about the E series.

you *could* use one from an EA-EL wagon with LSD fitted, but i suspect that a EA-EL wagon LSD diff would be just as rare as an XG/XH XR diff

I had an XG "S" ute ... and it came with the LSD diff ... all "S" models did apparently.

Damn ... manual or auto???
I thought they were standard LSD in the S packs.
Might have to look around the wreckers and try and find one I guess.

The diff should say if it is or not ... Can't remember where/what code is on the diff
