Hey anyone know if Zexen tries are any good?

Need new back tires (suprise suprise) and i was gonna get kumho ecsta's to match the ones on the front (225/50r16). Been told $150/ea for the kumho's

Was at local mechanic getting new radiator hose on the eb and he said he had a pair of Zexens that he could sell for $125ea .... but seeing as i've never heard of the brand i thought i'd send out some feelers to see if they're worth it...

http://www.nexentire.co.kr/english/prod ... 0&expend=1

If its not those tires its a very very similar tread pattern, and they're new (ie sticker + chalk stripes)..

So what do people think about these tires? Also has anyone seen them when looking for tires and how much were they??

i've got nexen N3000's on my car at the moment and i think they're great value!

yet to see how they wear, but as far as grip and that goes, very happy. i think it'd be the best tyre i could buy for $145 each! 235/45R17. silica compound, Z rating, directional tyre

mate has a set on his ED, loves them too.

Interesting ... hope they wear well ... looking for tyres for my 17" rims to put on the ute ... if the NEXEN's are good ... I'll get them ... Also heard the Nankang NS2's are good as well.

I agree. I had the same tyres on the EF and I used to deliver pizzas in Glenmore Park (for those who don't know it, it is a new housing estate that is easy to get lost in and only has one straight road). They were a very good value for money tire. I had no problems with them. I was able to take the turns at 80-90 kms with no problems.

Yeah, my acco is another story. One that I will NOT talk about  The car was repairable and I still own it. Finding an air bag was the hardest part

It had nothing to do with the nexen's tho. I had a smack 6 months before I got 17s. The 17s came with the nexens. I have since gone to one of the cheaper toyo tyres and the Nexens were better IMO.
