I played Diablo 1 (only for a bit to see what it was) and then skipped straight to Diablo 2. Great game IMO and I played it for a short while recently. Just built a new computer for gaming for Christmas, so I'm hoping Diablo 3 isn't resource intensive...if so, I'd need to Crossfire my GPU to keep up with it :?.

The graphics look great and I like the fact that the game play is still kept similar :)...can't go wrong with that.

I can't wait to see what its like.
Diablo 1 and 2 were insane for their time, lets hope Blizzard can keep it to an awesome standard.

If it's anything like Starcraft 2 (took them about a decade) it will be good. I was waiting for SC2 to come out and it came out 10 years later. The storyline is still great, game play very similar to the SC1 but some new tactical ways now rather than rush and kill. It didn't disappoint at all...just don't like the fact that you need internet connection to play...even single campaign. Campaign was short, but it is a 3 part series, which I think is just as crap.

Diablo 3 might be out dated, but if the game play and story is good, every fan will play. I mean I still prefer to play some of the older games because they are more involved...such as Age of Empire series, that was great from their first release. Some newer games suck...all they have is graphics and multiplayer, but single story campaigns can be completed in a week, rather than play a game for months before you complete it such as Diablo 2.

With these sort of games, its more CPU, what system do you have?

been on for 2 days now   .
gotta say the graphics are awsome 8-) . gameplay great too. yet i feel diablo2 was more charachter customizeable, but i havent played long enough to figure everythin out yet :P .

one thing i have noticed is its a lot less world interactive. like diablo 2 where you can go into public chat channels and have a yarn to people on the other side of the world for no reason.
diablo 3 there is only a little text box in the corner... nothing to say how any people are here etc.. which i think is a let down from diablo 2. :?

but will update in next few weeks as im betting this game gets better and better   .

btw im running a i3 processor with a nvidea 550 TI gpu and 8gb ram.

Sorry forgot to reply

My current system is this:

AMD CPU Phenom II X4 Quad Core 960T Black Edition - AM2+, AM3 <--- (supposedly better than Bulldozer at the time?)
Asus M5A99X-EVO AMD Mainboard - AM3+
Kingston HyperX 8G 1600 <---(stupid me installed windows 7 32bit...rather than 64, so can't utilize the potential of this just yet...need to stop being lazy and install 64bit)
Asus Radeon HD6950 <---(for it's price it was good enough since I don't do too much gaming anymore...SC2 full spec was running great frame rate :D)
Seagate 3.5" SATA 1T
Thermaltake LitePower 600Watt PSU

EDIT: forgot to add...didn't end up getting D3...can't afford it and don't have the time to play :(

nah have a real copy, just hate having to log on to games to play something that's mainly a single player game.

Not so much pirating...but the fact you can't play the game unless you have an internet connection is rather stupid. I wanted to play SC2 at my parents house who didn't have the net...can't even play single player :?

so after a few weeks i promised a bit more info on how i feel about the game.

unfortunatly after beating the game in normal, nightmare and hell and getting to inferno before 1.03b i was just getting demolished in act2 inferno.

also reaching the max level of 60 was suprizing and really dissapointing  .
such a grand platform of Diablo2 LoD. to leap from and i feel this game has fallen on its face HARD

suffice to say i have not played D3 in about 3 weeks now because the AH and RMAH are just too rediculous.. i dont have the time or patients to "farm" for 100million gold just to buy some better gear since my stuff aint good enough to get me thru and to find better gear you have about a 0.000002% chance. :|

glad i only spent $400 on a upgraded computer that has been collecting dust the past 3 weeks coz i just flip my laptop on to do forums/ebay/whatever.

all i can hope for this some sort of drastic improvement or a expansion, but that probly wont happen as millions have also walked away from the game and the blizzard forum is over run from people as upset as me to be sucked in by all the hype and lovers of the series to be given such crap and titled a game is beyond me.

oh well. i suppose the missus and the car will get more attention out of me  .
