As the question sayswhat phone do you all reccommend.I am sure I don't want an iphone,so I reckon it's between Nokia N9, and the Samsung Galaxy11.
Thanks for your point of view in advance.

How urgent is it that you get a new phone? This year alone I have had a Nokia N8, Apple iPhail 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S II. Moving to a Galaxy Nexus in the next few weeks (after release) as it is leaps and bounds ahead of the Galaxy SII

are you the sort that is anti social and plays with your phone and ignores others? and you spend every spare second on your phone or talking about your latest app? if so then get an iphone 4 (iphail 4 as they are more commonly known), otherwise go an android phone such as a htc or samsung

Go actually play with the phones a bit is my advice. Reading specs and other peoples opinions will just throw you off what your actually looking for, at the end of the day who cares if one phone looks better on paper, if it cant actually do what you want it do or if it just doesn't feel right your going to just be wasting your money.

I personally am not a fan of iphone's, i like to be able to customize things and iphones just aren't good for that. Also feels very restricted by its OS compared to an Android and the 1 year warranty's a bit sad when practically everyone else now offers a 2 year. But for ease of use they are a good solid phone. Just watch you dont fall in the "stuck with apple because i have paid for a few apps on itunes" crowd.

Galaxy s2 is my pick at the moment, its available everywhere, feels smooth and flawless to operate, big, bright screen with big keyboard etc and is a good reliable unit that hardly breaks down.

Nexus is a Samsung basically and is marketed as Googles flagship android phone (latest version etc) and is phenomenal in terms of feature set and hardware specs but usually harder to track down unless you are buying outright.

HTC Evo and HTC Sensation are next, Evo has the 3d camera, big chunky phone that feels like it wont snap in half when your holding it, nice dual core processor, excellent display etc. Sensation is similar but in my opinion a superior phone with a nicer camera, sleeker appearance and excellent sound quality through the headphone jack.

My pick at the moment:

Samsung Galaxy s2/Nexus
HTC Sensation
HTC Evo
Apple iPhone

But seriously go demo the phones..

Hey NAfairlane..., Thanks for your contribution. On Saturday,I picked up a Samsung Galaxy S11,as my contract was up.It does all that I want and more that I am learning as I go a long.I have customised my ring tones suitable for each of my favorite callers. My only disappointment is that I am unable to have my own message tone, but I am sure that someone has an idea on that. Cheers.
