I have just watched the Melbourne news item about the dragster accident in Sydney. I think it is the most biased and disgusting coverage of any motorsport, I have ever seen. If you saw it and believe the same, then click the link, and push the contact us button, and write to them expressing your disgust. :(

So let me guess. there was a crash at the track today and the dumb a*** journo's have tried to mention the words street racing in the article or something to that effect.

saw it on the news tonight. Well, the ch9 one anyways. Was a bit of dribble. Showed the incident, and then the reporter tried to push the point of minority calls that the sport is unsafe and so on so on. Then they replayed the footage from the states with the aussie chap that crashed into the crowd to try and bring home "their" view of the unsafe nature of the sport. Typical ch9 dribble

Brett, I've scoured all of ninemsn, and found nothing. It was Darren Morgan losing a wheel, running across the track in front of Dobbo, hitting the wall and disintegrating. Darren was unharmed.

Dangerous? No one has died in a drag racing incident in this country in what, 20 years at least? It is the safest form of motorsport in this country bar none.

Ok re wording that. The last person to die as a result of a drag racing incident was Jon Boskovic around 2 or 3 years ago. But the accident occured way back when calder was still running group one meets. The long term injuries brought him undone.

Why don't this sons of b**ch journo's use the same line against V8 supercabs. At least 2 drivers promised to never return to the saddle cause they say that sport is too dangerous.

Oh and if drag racing is so dangerous then why do more people lose their lives to go karting? Get that up ya, fuggen journo's.

The crash looked worse than what it was he was very well protected, hope he gets back on the track again soon,he told the crowd he had 3 more cars back in the workshop so that shouldn't be a problem...Vito.

actually, some1 died at heathcote like a week before fordmods went up there about a year or so ago. However theres risks in everything, and the sports is very safe, and its typical of channel 9 to report the news like a gossip magazine.
