Seems that we are a bunch of rev heads. I don't know if any of you younger blokes have sat down and thought about how much money you have spent on cars over the years but I have. I tell you what it adds up, and up and up. Some were worth it and others were not but if I could go back and change it would I, most likely not.

Ok what about the one (or in some case more than one) that you regret getting rid off?

In my case it was my 62 Chevy Belair and my CL 770 Charger.

Even more, what about the one you could have bought but didn't only to kick yourself later.

In the early 80s a number of opportunities came up and for one reason or another I didn't take advantage of them
1. 327 HK Monaro GTS 4 speed certified Bathurst spare (went to bathurst but wasn't needed so wasn't raced). Asking Price $1,500 as the dealer didn't want to give warranty.
2. 1971 Valiant Charger R/T E38 $3,600.
3. 1967 Falcon GT $3,200.
4. 1972 XA Fairmont Hardtop $1,500.
5. 1975 302 XB Fairmont GS 4 speed Hardtop $4,750.
6. 1978 351 Falcon Cobra auto $6,900.
7. Torana A9X rolling chasis, ex group C Bathurst racer $1,200.

Bugger, I could have had some cool cars but then again I could have bought one of them and wrapped it around a post the next day so who is to know. Still could have had some good memories.

I kick myself for buying that stupid Lancer. What a waste of money. Depreciated 65% in exactly 3 years.

Don't regret getting rid of any cause it allowed me to get another car that I really wanted at the time.
