Supra TT 6-speed boxes are not cheap I can tell you.
I used to drive an XF with a Supra 5-speed in it ... from a JZA70 Supra ... very strong box indeed .... and was a smooth as well ... ratios were nice and close ... but was also great on the open road too ... top gear hardly revved at freeway speed .... Dellow do the conversion kits for the XF as well.

Much stronger than the factory T5 too.

Oh ... another thing .. I think to fit a Supra 5-speed you'll need to modify the length of your tailshaft too

Supra 6 speeds are rare and pricey - if you get one for less than $4000 i would be surprised. Probably worth more than your car.
This is not compareable to T56 - T56 is a piece of s**t in comparison.
Unless you have heaps of kw then just go the cheap and easy option of a T5.
After you buy the 6 speed you will need a kit to fit it and a shortend tailshaft.
Do you really have enough horsepower to justify buying anything other than a t5. MOney could be better spent on engine mods. Nto trying to give you s**t but dont want you to waste your cash on getting an unbreakable gearbox on a car putting out less than 100rwkw.

I don't see how we got on the subject of 6 speeds

The reason for the supra box was it was cheap, and came with a new clutch, the box was in good condition, came with the tailshaft to suit, bellhousing, blah blah blah....

Mitch can tell you the bad news lol. Get the shovel jelly

But the conversion WILL happen... won't it mitch??? WON'T IT?

Cheers

Daer Mitch,

Dmitri has officially informed me that you have not purchased the necessary supra box. i am appalled in your lack of desire of this excelent manual gear box thingy....

i am afraid i have no choice but to get my shovel out.......godd bye mitchy...you will be missed...

but its the only way to teach you to never let such great oppertunities slip away.

love your faithful killer....jelly

p.s. dima...you have to help me get rid of the body...

If you car looks like th pics in your gallery you should spend your money on a new set of rims and save up fro a paint job. Leave the old 3 speed or go the cheaper t5 option. Whoever suggests a supra box is stupid. The whole conversion will cost 3 times the value of you car.

Paint work looks good - rims still need upgrade. I would still go the t5 - it bolts in and is 1/5 of the price.
Unless your bolting on a turbo or plan to do miles of burnouts then supra is a waste of time.
