This might sound like a stupid question, but is there anyway to get rid of the MAF sensor on a multipoint XF and keep the factory ecu? My understanding is it just puts out an electrical signal to the ECU, so would it be possible to connect a MAP sensor from and EF or something and wire that to the standard ecu??

Thanks.

to extend what was just said, the MAP sensors work on a frequency, and not really a varialbe voltage like the MAFs, you'll need to look at something else.

Cheers

No!

MAP and MAF sensors work entirely differently. Without using too many words:

You can have 0 vaccum at wide open throttle anywhere in the rev range =same sensor output.
A MAF measures the mass of air so it will change depending on RPM and MAP.
