Hi guy's where would be the best place to get a complete 5speed manual gear box and good price's,for my Ba xr8 thanks any help would be appreciated......

Thats a bit pricey for a reco box! I paid $900 for a brand new one on ebay.

Are they T5s in the BAs? If so, I reckon you'd be better off trying to source a 6 speed and putting that in, if it's a straight-forward swap. Otherwise, look into getting the T5 rebuilt with a G-force or Astro gear set. A heavy BA with 200+rwkw is no friend to the T5.

If it's not a T5, then disregard all of the above... :D

Nope they're a TR3650 but I agree...get a TR6060 instead...much better shift and much stronger.

Big difference in price between a TR3650 and a TR6060 and some people still say the TR6060 shifts like a dog, others say it's not bad.

Basically I don't think there is a manual available to late model Fords that is the ducks guts so I'll stick with my TR3650. Put some good oil in them, I have Mainlube in mine, and get a good short shift unit, Mal Woods in mine, and it's the best you can do.

Then there's the rest of the driveline to worry about.

I saw a TR6060 for sale in the mobile trading post the other day. They were asking $3000. Have a ook for it, if you're interested...
