Hello all,
I have a '99 AU XR8 manual , and have recently had the gearbox and diff rebuilt, much to my delight as this problem was rectified, the engine has developed a really rough idle, when the car warms up tho it is smooth as a baby's butt.

The car is sorta a daily driver / project and is slowly being fixed up. but this is really starting to s**t me.i have a few theories please anyone with more experience with these engines correct me if i'm wrong and point me in the right direction.
i'm thinkin it could be the leads, as i have replaced the plugs and the O2 sensor or the MAF sensor or that little matchhead sensor behind the O2 sensor( can you tell me what this is)

any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers
Gav

I do highly recommend the team at Gearbox Express Ingleburn

Is the MAF plugged in? If so, when the car is idling warm, unplug the MAF. If it makes no difference, then your MAF either needs to be cleaned or replaced.
