Ok iv been trying to get onto bullet performance racing for 2 months now... and nothing so screw them there not getting my business.

So is there anyone out there that does a decent au v8 x3 flash tuner generic tune? or are there any other alternatives that are around the same price. dont have the time for dyno tune just looking for a good alternative to a standard tune.

Any help appreciated.

also any experiences would help alot!

Ended up going with a flash tuner with custom tune from UVE, fingers crossed they know what there doing!

might get it dyno'd with before and after flash tune and post it up.

btw calling all windsor nuts out there. whats the biggest cam that wont bone my springs that i can get for the au v8 (175kw version)

ie who from, Crow crane wade? sure cam? trick flow?

and would i need to change the pushrods etc or are they direct replacement?

Keep in mind this car weight 1500kilos so every kw helps.

You can't safely cam a motor with GT40P heads and stock valve springs. The valve springs are on borrowed time above 150000k's in these anyway.

Ouch harsh... given iv done 300,000 i might look into a head and cam package by trickflow instead and put it off till later.

thanks for the warning.

Flash Tuner was a waste of Cash. got the sct 3000au (x3)

Generic tune - FAULTY
User adjustable features - Idle speed and Speed-limiter
Data logging - Crashes in the first few seconds every time (ie live read out on sensors)

On a Completely Useless note the DTC ready works fine.

Support received from supplier regarding faulty tune, None so far
Have now contacted the Flash tuner distributor herrod will see if they can improve the situation.

will post back if anything changes. (for Eight freaking hundred dollars they better!)

Also now sends a DTC saying i have a traction control system malfunction Big LOL there ITS A FORTE'

for the record i provided them with all the codes on the ecu Model and build date plus mods.

the sct x3 flash tuner is now a pretty paper weight.

Not having much luck with the capa re tune adjustments, they just keep pinging at wot.

and its official User side adjustments for au v8 is only idle and speed limiter.

and datalogging fails full stop. no fix.

i do believe it is time to go to a dyno tuner and just be done with it. i just wanted a generic 98 octane fuel tune until i get some real mods, but this is pointless :-(

i hope if anyone else buys one they have better luck then i.

Generic tunes are no good. They are someone else's custom tune. Tunes are not a one size fit all thing.

well some progress but still no ridding ourselfs of pinging.

sounds like popcorn in second gear when she pings as its not a heavy pinging as usual.

http://s293.photobucket.com/albums/mm60 ... 072010.mp4

in case anyones interested thats the lovely sound at 2mins 2seconds as it goes into second gear.

Have speakers up real loud, the pinging from the cameras point of view sounds like air going past but if u play it a few times from 2:02 you'll hear it.

Enjoy the Windsors finest in cabin sound

No reply from capa as USUAL.

Anyone wanna do a trade

Give me $600 and a J3 chips plus burner for it that's compatible with the Au's and this Flash tuner is ALLL YOURS.

Open to other ideas or trades lol as this things as good as tits on a bull without a dyno tuner. (yeap local tuners are s**t and im not wasting anymore time on this GARBAGE)
