Hey guys,

Everyone swears by these Blupower CAI kits, but had anyone actually gone from a SS Inductions big mouth to one of these kits? I wanna know if it actually makes a big difference, but don't wanna spend the 400 odd to find out :).

Cheers,

I have an SS CAI and its more than enough for my current breathing needs. Going by logic, if BP have a CAI that's bigger ( I have never seen one nor even a photo of one ) then it's still going to be more than enough for my current air intake needs.
A big CAI is only going to be effective if the rest of your engine doesn't have anything else restricting air volume & flow and so I'm guessing the SS CAI would support a good 250+rwkw before it might become a hindrance in my case.

There was a test a few years ago on FordForums between, the SS, BPR (Blue Power), and the YT (Yella Terra) intake. If I remember right it was on a GT.

Results show the BPR won, the YT a close second, and the SS, a distant third, only just better than the stocker.

I've got a BPR, which I remade in carbon fibre.

Very Nice, that would look awesome :D

I'll try and make one from fiberglass and see how that goes :)

Cheers for the input guys!!
