Hey everyone,
I recently did a rebuild on my 94 ED XR8 and noticed the front of the cam had GT stamped into it.
Is this common for all E Series V8's , or does it only apply to the EB/EL GT's :?: Any comments.

Nothing special, this is one of 5 cams fitted that I have personally measured. The same profile as cams stamped "ZE". The GT refers to Mustang GT ie 5.0 HO rather than 5.0 SO (cam stamped "A", the only one of these that's come through my workshop, 70 thou less valve lift than above two). Later models got the Explorer "TE" stamped cam which also has slightly less intake lift (unchanged exhaust lift) than the two above. The "Tickford" cams were re-profiled explorer cams, with the kW designation stamped into the rear end of the cam. They had a reduced base circle to achieve more lift & duration.
