Ride: EB II XR8

I am doing up and old EBII XR8, manual g/box. It has formance heads, holley carb. aftermarket vacuum advance dizzy. How do I get around the computer. Do I have to re wire the starting and ignition system. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Peter

You need to either bypass the smartlock module which is hidden up behind the dash or leave everything in place(EEC included) and take ignition power from the stock coil plug.
Of course what you're doing is illegal and I think a backward step performance wise but, whatever floats your boat.

Going back to a carby is illegal if it will be running petrol and driven on the street, if it's for off road use, shouldn't be a problem. If it's running LPG, you can fit a carby type manifold, removing all the injection gear, and use an impco 425 with a holley bas eplate or a Gas Research carby with adapter.
