What is the length or the ford serial number of a dipstick for a 351w v8? The dipstick goes thru the timing cover of the motor.

You want to know the depth for oil line ???
I had same issue when fitting a larger sump to my engine..
I filled with oil the manu said, 7 ltrs.. Then marked the dip stick or cut down the outer tube to correct levels.. In my case the position had also changed were it was attached to sump ...

So as long as you use the correct tube with each stick it will work. Of course they don't mention the mounting tab for the tube which, will be at a different height due to the difference in deck heights of 289/302 vs 351.
