Well with the awesome help of joe and the guys at crescent motorsport, the RPMII is finally on. ANd doesnt it just haul. This is the single best improvemnt since the NOS was fitted. As for it being a straight bolt on replacement, i dont think so. The E series ghias have a lot of vacuum connections, but they were eventually sorted. There is also a slight problem with clearance of the bonnet and this is with a high series bonnet, so it could be a problem with the XR's if fitted to them. I will be out the creek tonight for all those interested.
Feel free to drop by and check out the goodness that is a NOS injected 5.0
Brett

Low 13's here we come!

You might want to get the Unichip re-tuned now that you've got the new manifold on. Can probably squeeze a few extra KW out of her still.

Which part did you have toubles with clearance ??
Was it the EGR valve ?

You've got me worried now as I am just about to put my donk back in & it now has an RPM II. I had previously had a Performer on and did'nt have any dramas. Is something in line with one of the braces on the underside of the bonnet ?

Thanks for the pics fuzion(and for the help). Yes it does have provision for the egr, you just bout up the original spacer and throttlebody. The parts that are hitting the bonnent are the middle 2 ribs above the EDELBROCK logo, and the TPS. It appears thet the lower half of the manifold is about 30mm taller than the stock lower manifold. An awesome side bonus is the fact that it is now so easy to pull off. The rear two bolts on the HO were so hard to get at.
The vacuum conectors nee to come of the HO manifold to get it to work. At the rear i underneath is the connnection for the Brake Booster and PCV. These came from the stock maniflood. The rear near the the TB is for fuel pressure, the front near the TB is for the heater lines, and right at the front is the connection for the charcoal cannister. Hope that helps.
As an asside maritn, the manifold is actually sold as a goer for turbo, blower or NOS applications
Brett

im glad we didnt give it a go here as it would of been bit of a headache!

small issues, such as longer bolts etc! thanks to Joe @ Crescent Motorsports who helped Brett out with this.. and myself with my caliper/brake setup. and thanx to brett as well and jase/reynold LOL

Brett cracked a very low 13.2 on wednesday at wsid (western syd drags), damn good run considering he needs to be retunned after the rpmII kit being fitted!

Im sure Brett's goin to try get the low 11's soon .. it'll happen lol
