If I were buying this short motor, I'd be giving Jegs a call and see how much shipping is, then give Summmit a call and see if they can match Jegs price ($3475.99 vs $3740.99) and give you a quote on shipping. Let's say it's going to cost you $1000 for shipping, that's ~ $4500, plus $675 in Duty and GST, brings you to a total cost of $5175. Buy from those guys on Ebay and it's going to cost you $5700 + shipping which is another $140, I think it was. $650 could go towards so many things when you're building an engine...

Beat $5700 AU for a Dart block 347? I think NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I think u need to do ur research bud becuz u CAN!!!!!!!!!!!

and for that price u would get a 4340 crank and 4340 H beam rods

Yeah but this is a DART block assembly built by DART. This place is just a reseller of them the cost of it plus freight from USA would work out roughly the same as the price from the place.

Who cares is it's assembled by Dart them selves as u dont know the builder as they have so many and its a production line my friend, and i dont trust that so go small shop.

Keith craft has a very good and solid rep and many ppl from Australia have bought engines from him............

There is also fordstrokers.com Jim aka Woody but a six month wait on his engine's as he is so busy

CNC motorsports has sent a few here as well and sopposed to be good

CNC motorsports and Keith Craft both have 5 axis CNC machines for block machining so ur gettint a top quality machining....................

I'd have to agree with MICKYYYY. Just because it's Dart, built by Dart doesn't mean s**t. All that means to me is 'mass produced'. And all cast components. It wouldn't hurt to email a few US shops like the ones recommended above, and see what they can do for your particular needs and how much shipping would be. I just had a quick look at the Keith Craft website and their ebay shop as well and they look like they do some good work.

Anoter thing to consider, if you're not in a huge rush for your short motor and you want to save even more money, you should consider sea freight. There are a number of companies that send containers over here from the US on a regular basis. I've been quoted $200 for a complete engine via sea freight.
