are the cats the same on the v8s the same as the 6cyl...i mean pipe and all...my passenger side one is rattling like its about to drop off

yeah i was hoping the 6cyl one would fit one side lol..spewin...mine is rattling so much it so much it sounds like a big end going out!

Not sure of th3e exact answer though wheter the 6- 8 cats are same or different.. could call a wrecker?

it wouldnt make much of a difference. But it wouldnt be a matter of unbolt the V8 one and bolt the 6cyl one in its place.

Assuming the inlet and outlet pipes are the same diameter between the V8 and 6cyl, you could unbolt the cat from the v8, take it to someone that can cut the cat out and weld a 6cyl cat in its place.

final option is not recommended and could be illegal if using the car on the road. Unbolt the cat, and do what you can to remove the inner parts of the cat that is rattling, then replace. This is not a good suggestion, but could serve as a quick fix to remove the rattle until you get a replacement.

Just buy a pair of sports cats off ebay for $280 pr (2 1/2") and voila!

cheers guys...im just gunna gut the stuffed one and buy sports ones in a few months when i start upgrades...the noise its making is unreal...i thought my flex plate was stuffed or a big end lol
