The least you will need is a J3 chip to remap the standard ecu and bigger injectors and fuel pump cause the stock hardware will not support anything near that. See jason at T.I performance about a chip. If you have the funds buy an aftermarket ecu Yeh but that wasnt with an AU engine,Was with an EL motor. There are a few people pushing 300+rwkw on stock bottom ends.

Stronger rods in a EL motor, how ever you can upgrade the rods and pistons in a AU motor.

Yes but their piston/rod geometry leads to increased wear and vibration, hence why ford went for the longer rod and piston combo from the AU onwards. Keep in kind that both types of rods fit either crank but can only be used with a matching piston. You can't use an E series piston on an AU rod cause it will poke above the deck too much and you can't use an AU piston on an E series rod because it will primarilly sit too far down the bore (among other things). |
