How well built do you want it. A C4 built by Dominello costs around 2.5k (trade price). Sounds like a lot but for that you get a fully manualised auto and the option of a transbrake. That's a pretty serious box if you ask me.

My C4 cost about $3000 to build.
It has all the good gear inside plus an Allfast converter($800).
It's for sale if you're interested? $1600
That includes gearbox,converter(2500rpm),Flexplate 164t,B&M quicksilver with custom ally knob(the std ones are crap),cooler lines and Big cooler.
It has a custom manual valve body with std shift pattern and full engine braking in all gears....most manual shift kits don't have engine braking in first gear. So it's like a sequential gearbox.

Cheers,
Pete.

What's the go with the stock knob on the quicksilver shifter? My mate has one in his VL and the only prob I see with it is the stick gets pretty damn warm.

The problem is it's a plastic knob with a metal insert nut. When you pull it up to go through the gate it pulls the damn knob off the nut. Besides it look like a bloody door knob from a house I reckon. The one I made looks heaps better.

Got a pic of the shifter to post up for us to see? Also does a megashifter ratchet the same way as the quicksilver. I know that the starshifter doesn't.
