They all very .. Haven't used the BF type but used generic intercoolers..
I find using a larger intercooler makes up for some inefficiency..

the problem is that the cheap chinese cast alloy intercoolers are very poor quality and are usually bar and plate coolers that have too much internal fins to provide good flow.
they pack the coolers with internal fins to provide the cooling by making a pressure drop and then dont flow very well.
you need to remove the internal fins to optamise flow vs pressure drop to suit the application.
im using a plazmaman tube and fin cooler that has been perfectly matched in size and flow for my engine. with lazer welds and hand fabrication of the end tanks the quality far exceeds the cheap chinese counterparts.

in my opinion you are better off getting somthing a little more expensive that will last and perform rather than saving a few hundred bucks and having to replace it after a few years.
im not bagging the chinese coolers, some people have ordered sparcely finned coolers from china and made a killing selling them to people who swear they are the best bang for your buck but i have been there and done that and have now got 3 cars with plazmaman coolers on them. rav 4 xr6turbo and a twin turbo camaro.

In the end its what budget can allow for. If you cant afford a plazmaman or other top shelf coolers then they can do fine. Obviously dont expect to go chasing after big power figures. But in the end if your after just after a retune/ mild modifications you should be fine. Plus most of those ebay coolers have 12 month manufacturer warranties on them anyway.
