Hi having same problem with my 94 fairlane it won't crank over but turn accessories on run a wire from batter with button to starter and it will start have tried the relays nothing are u suppose to bridge pin 18 an 25 to start it or just test them with voltmeter unsure or any other helpful tips and if I keep the button how would I solve problem of slow crank

the no crank problem is fixxed by bridging the wires together on the loom end.
this bypasses the engine crank dissable in the smartlock module..

you mention a slow crank problem, this has nothing to do with the smartlock, the starter part of the smartlock is just an imobiliser..

your slow crank issue will be either a tired starter motor, voltage drop or a tired battery

Have bridged wires still won't start was told slow crank is because I have ran a wire from battery to starter motor with a push button

hey there guys , iam no auto leccy but this was the exact prob i had in my xh xr6 and i took 2 weeks to fix after alot of painfully slow diagnostics came to the conclusion it is a hairline crack in the bcm soldering ...very common apparently...the odd person fixed with a quick punch with the side of the hand too the bcm lol but not for any length of time...as i couldnt source a bcm replacement and i solder boards as well as saying no to a beer the most effective way was to order a smartlock bypass module from a store in perth ....no issues since ... hope this is helpfull
