Thanks Sooty...do you know how I can remove the tfi from the side of the dizzy without having to pull the dizzy out?...as you are aware, it's in a mother of a position to see and to get to clearly..I have tried to undo with a phillips head screwdriver but ..no good...is it a phillips head or some other type of screw that attaches it onto the dizzy?
Cheers,
Baz

Problem solved....if ever your XH has no spark...replace your coil first...instead of...ecu..bem... tgi...leads..rotor..cap..etc etc... :D

I was just about to say if you're getting power at the coil, then the TFI is working, and it would likely be the coil at fault.

I did that the first time. Replaced the coil, all good. For about a fortnight, then the new coil died. Then i replaced the coil AND the tfi module, all good now for 5 years or so. 8-)
Touch wood.

Ahhh, the old coil/tfi mystery problem, so glad I dont need to worry about that anymore, I carried a spare coil and full dizzy in my boot :)
