I’m sure this has been covered before and before the flaming, I have searched for this to no avail.
Is there a problem swapping an AU S3 motor with another AU falcon motor (Unknown Series, Rebuilt) In terms of smart shield noticing the difference? If so what is used to identify the change in motor and can it be swapped from one motor to the other? I intend on swapping over everything including the BBM. Thank you.

If you swap the engine and leave all electronics alone you will be fine.
The only issue would be in fitting an S1 engine with the earlier map sensor. Fitting your old engines map sensor and BBM upper would resolve this.

Gab smartshield has nothing to do with what engine is in it, just double check that everything is connected and plugged in... the upper bbm is different from series 1 to series2/3 due to the way the map sensor is mounted... but, it donr matter as the series 1 and series 2 map sensors work in each other as they are both voltage based.. i have a series2 bbm and map sensor in my au1 and its fine.. |
