im calling BS:

1. there is no stone chips in the front
2. why would you remove the plates
3. there is a sticker on the top of the window passenger side
4. finding a DC LTD with all the parts in it like perfect carpeted kick panels and such is too big a task
5. no one purposely puts those rims on - yes i know i have them on my LTD but they wont go onto the fairlane
6. you dont go backwards in steering wheels - the 'old one' would have suited more
7. chances of someone noticing and replacing console with leather unit along with kick panels and all the small things is slim (not impossible but most people dont bother)
8. finding pillar trims and roof trims in good enough condition to warrant installing is slim
9. drilling holes and getting the chrome strip on the bonnet to line up perfect is a huge job
10. no signs of badge or badge removal - and you wouldnt delete the V8 badge
11. it has a towbar or atleast something hanging back there...
12. and of course the biggest one - the car sales stamp on each pic lol

but thats just on a quick view :P lets just say i have spent alot of time looking at the differenced between NC and DC lol

Hi there,

can you (or anyone else) explain #5 ? in what way are Fairlanes and LTD different .

i am curious because i've owned a NCII for many years but i was thinking of buying something with less K's on it. although, lately i been thinking to get an LTD instead (i like the look of leather seats although they are too dam hot to sit on in summer which doesnt make sence) but i dont much care for the look of the LTD wheels, and was thinking to put Fairlane wheels on it instead (i kinda like them), however the number 5 comment has me wondering what the different is between Fairlanes and LTDs and whether the wheels are interchangeable?

also on the off chance anyone knows , what if any difference is there between a 93 LTD compared to a 94?

cheers

#5 was a dig at the uglyness of the LTD wheels. not many people like them.

all pre AU rims will fit in 15" so yes you can put fairlane wheels on it, you can put any falcon wheels on.

93 and 94 fairlane models if they are both NC fairlanes they will be the same. 94 was the last of the NC and start of the NF which change alot in looks.

lol, yeah they are woeful to look at. #5 had me wondering if they didnt fit for some reason (at one time i read somewhere that the (DC) ltd had larger rotors but i have never seen it written anywhere since, so was wondering if that may have been the reason)

and yep, both 93 & 94 NC or rather DC LTD's i was wondering about, i know there are a few small 'cosmetic' differences with the (NC) fairlanes of those years but i cant see any differences with the (DC) LTD's
