I recently bought an EL XR6 and have the very common problem of the paint being faded on the skirts, roof and boot. I've given it a cut and polish but it didn't help much. I'm going to try the Turtle Wax restoring polish too. Any tips for me? I did consider getting the whole thing resprayed, but it'll probably cost me twice the value of the old girl and that will be my last resort. Cheers.

Unfortunately there isn't really an easy fix to faded paint, you'll have to get it resprayed if you want it to last

What polish did you use ? Did you do it by hand or use a rotary buffer ?
My wing and vents were badly faded. They were chalky and pink . They came up like new after a polish but will go dull every month or so . Had to keep polishing .
