Wondering if BA or BF ute seats are a direct fit to a AU ute or would it require modifications to the seat rails in order for them to fit?

Massive modifications to the rails required.
There is nothing on them that is interchangeable. It is all cutting and welding and then the width is not even meant to be right.
I looked into it for my AU and it was more hassle then it was worth.

More people paid for a ride in a VT commodore then an AU Falcon so the VT is superior.
Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Bugger!, In that case I think I'll stick to my AU seats then. Shame really because I love the BA XR ute seats.

im just about to put ba front seats in my au sedan, its pretty much as simple as cutting the feet off the ba rails and fabricating up some new mounting points.
bit of measuring grinding, drilling and welding and a coat of black paint and its done.

will post up more info and pics when i get mine done.

then ill see if the rears seats and door trims are worth the hassle.
