The flywheel must be from the 4.0l.
There was a change from imperial to metric for the flywheel bolts around this time, but I can't remember exactly when.

If you have to get a new flywheel anyway, then there's no question. Get one for a 6 bolt clutch.

when did they change? i have 2 flywheels- 1 from a '88 EA & 1 from a '93 EB. does that mean the EA is the smaller with the 1 from the EB the larger coz EA is 3.9 & EB is 4 ??

3.9 had the smaller clutch with three bolt. So EB2 when they went the 4L is the bigger six bolt
