Gday fellas I've purchased a ed xr6 and it has a el xr6 motor in it, its running the ed computer, should the computer have been changed to the ed one or are they the same

If you want the BBM operate, you need the EL ECU, the vacuum solenoid and some extra wiring. You also need to get around Smartlock on the EL ECU with either a bypass module or a J3 chip.

my understanding is leave as is IF you want to run or have the EA/B/D inlet manifold BUT if ya wanna run the later manifold yes you will need ta change it and alter sum wiring

if ya happy with the way it is .. leave it

if ya change to a later model ECU you will need ta change a few thing around plus sum rewiring

Cheers, it running way to rich I have a o2 sensor on its way so I'll replace that, it's also got a turbosmart rate rising fuel reg, do you know what pressure it should be running

I would get rid of the aftermarket fuel reg, its a wast and un necessary on the n/a 6, the falcon already runs a little rich stock, so adding aftermarket fuel reg is just adding more fuel that's why its running so rich..

std fuel reg is 36psi at idle and arould 40 psi under load/ no vacuum

No worries I'll put a standard one back on, its also running a big aeroflow pump as it was getting set up for a turbo, it's got a camtech 345 and a ported and polished head on it, I've got the manifold and cooler in the shed
